I've played with Ed Hale hammers for so long I don't remember when I first got started with them. I've always loved the balance and simplicity of them. I use other hammers of course but I always feel at home when I pick up my Hale hammers. They have a wider handle which is really nice. Some people might want a bigger handle to grab onto. I competed with these hammers in 2010 because I felt the most comfortable with them so you could say that they are champion hammers. ;-) They don't cost that much for two sided hammers so give them a try if you haven't already. These are 8 3/8 long.
The same wonderful Ed Hale hammers, just with a smaller, round head. They are a little lighter and they have a smaller footprint. Very good for hammer dulcimers with closer string spacing. These are 8 3/8 long too.
I just bought these the other day because I thought it would be nice to have a little more variety in the hammer category. I didn't really expect o like them too much because I'm such a fan of Ed Hale and Bob Bedard hammers. These really surprised me. They are a little shorter coming in at around 8 1/4 long but they feel really good. They have a thinner handle than I'm used to but they really felt natural in my grip. i believe that I will definitely have a pair of these in my bag along with Ed and Bob. The design are pretty cool too.
These are some great hammers! Bob Bedard is known as the best hammer maker in the business in my book. His hammers have a style all their own and now you can too! I'm going to list these in the options menu from left to right so that you know which ones are still there. These are 8 3/8 long.
I got to watch Bob Bedard make a lot of these hammers last summer and he picks these out for me personally because he knows what I like to play with and what I like to have on hand to share with you. My favorite are the yellow heart with celluloid grips. :) I think they look just awesome on stage! Whether you play traditional folk tunes or contemporary music, these are great for any arsenal, allowing you to play with expression and dynamics. Aside from a tuner, it's one of the best investments you'll make in your playing. So go ahead, get yourself a pair! These will be listed from left to right in the options menu so you know which ones are still available. These are 8 3/8 long.
These are the special stock hammers that Bob makes for me when I ask. These will make you a better player because if you look the part, you'll play the part. ;-) And they will certainly draw attention to you when you play in public. These are listed from left to right in the options menu so you know which ones to select. These are 8 3/8 long.
I have searched for 14 years to get a tuner like this. I've always tried the newest clip on tuner and they alway fell short when trying to pick up the vibrations of the hammered dulcimer. I always had notes that it couldn't read and it drove me nuts.
This tuner is so sensitive that I can clip on the top of my treble bridge and I never have to move it to pick up all the notes of the hammered dulcimer, low to high. You simply will not regret spending $20 on this tuner!
Retail on this is $39.99, so I'm thrilled to be able to pass this on to you with such big savings.
Here are the features.
color display so it's easily readable in low light situations
switch from vibrate to mic
metronome tap feature too (no ticking sound. It has a flashing heart)
auto transpose for use on guitars with capos
pitch calibration
automatic shut off when not in use
These are the best chromatic tuners on the market for this price. I love them because they are compact and they have a metronome built right in. Gotta love that! Don't know about you but I know I need that feature when I practice! Two bonuses that I like about this tuner... 1) It turns itself off if left on for too long and 2) it's slim design allows you to tuck it in a pocket anywhere. I've bundled them with the clip on pickup because you never know when you'll be tuning in a noisy environment and can't use the built in mic. Separately these would run you $30.00 and $19.00 but I like to bundle things into a bargain for you. Whether looking for a pleasant practice pitch or preparing for a Christmas concert, this little tuning pack gets you ready for any set!
These are so nice. Whether you have a scissor stand or an adjustable stand, this is just the best music holder out there. I love this thing! It's easy to set up and it slips right between the dulcimer and the stand for easy installation. The wood is polished to a nice shine and the pads on the bottom piece keep it from marking the underside of your dulcimer. I use mine in the house all the time and love the way it breaks down for travel in my case too. I use this all the time!
These stands are a really nice stand for the price. They're unfinished poplar so they're light and easy to carry. They also have rubber grips on them so that if your dulcimer gets bumped, the stand actually helps to keep the dulcimer from sliding off because of the rubber grabbing the dulcimer. The stand sits open and it is very unlikely to fold when jostled.
I HAVE BOTH SIT DOWN AND STAND UP VERSIONS. I sell them at one price because it's just easier that way. :) Just specify which one you want in the selection menu when ordering.
Phosphor bronze strings for your hammered dulcimer. They have a loop end ready to go.
These are the nice soft strings that sound so warm. Be careful though, they break easy becasue they're so soft. ;-)
These are the phosphor bronze wound strings for your hammered dulcimer. These bring the low end to the table. They have a looped end and are ready to string up.
